Bold, Provocative, and Riveting are the words describing this book. The author, Gentile, went to places often veneered in synthetic platitudes and the reality hidden. This story presented complex personalities, driven by lust, greed, and power which many times grip and hold hostage many great leaders. This reality is written well and detailed elegantly. I was really impressed with the writer's ability to present lewd events with his crafty word mastery where the dignity of his writing was not compromised by common or profane language.
